Charges in Sizemore's racy photos case

We may soon find out why naked images of Cleveland Indians centre-fielder Grady Sizemore made its way onto the Internet.

A Minnesota teen, Leah M. Ayers, is being charged with hacking into former Playboy playmate of the month Brittany Binger’s computer and spreading the photos online.

Sizemore sent Binger, who was his girlfriend at the time, 15 images of himself, some of which were nude. In one image, he used a coffee mug to cover his genitalia.

According to court papers, 19-year-old Ayers accessed Binger’s e-mail account on four occasions in August 2009.

A complaint filed in Minnesota’s Dakota County District Court states that Ayers’ laptop was used to view Binger’s social networking sites and that personal information that was posted may have been used to change Binger’s password and access her account.

Binger told police that she and Ayers do not know one another personally.

The StarTribune.com reports that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was able to trace the hacker's Internet protocol address to Ayers' parent’s home.

Police searched their home in April. Two days later, Ayers was called in for an interview and was asked to bring her laptop.

According to police, Ayers said her laptop was having its fan repaired and could not bring it. They later learned that she actually sent her computer in to have her hard drive reformatted.

A forensic analysis also found that Ayers' laptop contained some of Sizemore’s images and had also been used to access Binger's account.

Ayers has been charged with two counts of unauthorized computer access and a gross misdemeanor. She is expected to appear in court on Nov. 29.
